Leuchtstoff

When does hip become too hip, or even feels artificial? That’s what struck me when I entered Leuchtstoff. It’s on the southern edges of Neukölln, in the Körnerkiez, by now a pretty funky neighborhood.

You will notice when you see the coffee prices in Leuchtstoff. And that despite the (typical Berlin) shabby interior design: old chairs and tables, and in the adjacent rooms even couches that are placed at a height of one metre. Practical? No. Beautiful? Not really as well. Hip ? Without a doubt. And the coffee? Reasonable.
