Holzmarkt

The Bar 25 was a legendary club, known for its never-ending hedonistic house parties at the borders of the Spree river. It had to move for planned real estate development across the river to become the temporary Kater Holzig, but managed to go back to the original site in 2016 after other plans faltered.

Now the hippie community has established the Kater Blau club there, but also the Holzmarktgelände. It is a mish-mash of Kindergarten, yoga studios, an expensive restaurant, bars and many more funky places. It is walking the thin line between Berlin cool and tourist trap, but until now manages to stay on the side of the former, as a great alternative outdoor place on the edge of the river.

On easy summer nights the beer garden can get very crowded, but for good reason: it is just a lovely location.
