Britzer Garten

Well-kept or naturally wild? Supporters of the latter do not need to go to Britzer Garten. The huge park on the southern edge of Berlin is organised on every square meter. Lake, walking paths, lawns, roses and other plants, everything is neatly arranged, which results in a park of classic beauty. Unless of course you don’t like well-maintained gardens, or paying entrance fees, or bad connections with public transport…

But on our second visit in 2025 we actually preferred this garden above the Botanical Garden in Steglitz or the Garten der Welt in Marzahn. It is huge, not too crowded and great value-for-money. In spring there is a two-week period for the tulip garden.
