Betriebsbahnhof Rummelsburg

In the entire city there are exactly two Rundlokschuppen: round maintenance halls for locomotives. Both are industrial heritage sites, which doesn’t mean they are maintained very well.

Cynically enough on the maintenance site of the Deutsche Bahn you can find the Betriebsbahnhof Rummelsburg. The roof coverage is missing completely, but it remains a majestic building. The second Rundlokschuppen is in Pankow by the way, which has been extensively renovated in recent years (around 2020).

That cannot be said of the one in Rummelsburg. Getting there is obviously illegal, so visit on your own risk.
