The Buchstaben Museum (museum of characters) is the child of two font designers that started to collect lightboxes of characters, usually from shops and big companies. The evergrowing collection can’t even remotely be displayed in full, not even in the new location. That’s why the biggest part of it is on display in the storage room. Everyone who loves typography and design, should take an hour to go to this sweet little place. Please mind: the museum is only open from thursday to sunday, in the afternoon.
(update summer 2016: the museum is closed for now as they had to leave the building and can’t find any suitable space at the moment)
