It’s hard to imagine that hundreds of thousands of people came to this building every year. Former colleagues immediately had emotional memories of their youth when I posted pictures on Instagram.
But the Blub, a former tropical swimming paradise, is a ruin now. The building had already partially collapsed during our first visit in April 2016, an oasis for graffiti artists. But after a fire in summer even less remains of the mainly wooden complex. Despite that, it is still a fascinating trip to walk through shattered glass and former pools, as long as the remains will not be replaced by new real estate developments.
