Watching movies in Berlin remains relatively problematic for non-native speakers. Most films have been dubbed. Thankfully, some cinemas show the original versions (recognisable because of the addition of ‘OV’ in the movie programme).
The Yorck Cinema Group is amongst them. Especially the Babylon in Kreuzberg, a cosy, slightly old-fashioned cinema with two screens, shows interesting arthouse. Which means you don’t have to miss out on the most interesting world cinema, though the non-English movies usually only have German subtitles… (beware: there are two Babylon cinemas in Berlin, the other one is near Rosa Luxemburg Platz opposite the Volksbühne).
